Wendell Lim is a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Director of the Center for Systems and Synthetic Biology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is also a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator. George Cachianes has been teaching biotechnology at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco for over 15 years. As a former researcher at Genentech, Cachianes brings first hand experience of biotechnology to the classroom. The students were enrolled in Mr. Cachianes biotechnology class and were members of the 2012 UCSF iGEM competition team.
