Dr. Schmid is the Cecil H. Green Distinguished Chair in Cellular and Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and she was President of the American Society for Cell Biology in 2011. Her lab investigates how clathrin coated vesicles are pinched off from the plasma membrane.
