Talk Overview
Dr. Henry Bourne has trained graduate students and postdocs at UCSF for over 40 years. In his iBiology talk, he discusses the imminent need for change in biomedical education. With times to degree getting longer, the biomedical education needs to create experimental graduate programs to find more effective and low-cost ways to train future scientists and run successful laboratories. If we don’t start looking for solutions, the future of the biomedical enterprise will grow increasingly unstable.

Henry Bourne is Professor Emeritus and former chair of the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California – San Francisco.
