Talk Overview
Ron Daniels highlights the challenges facing young investigators. In light of the increasingly difficult funding situation and other barriers facing young investigators, Daniels observes that we are at risk of losing a generation of future scientists, leaders, and mentors, as well as hindering a more diverse biomedical workforce. Daniels recognizes that a problem of this complexity demands multifaceted solutions and explores changes that can be made in Congress, the NIH, and at research institutions to draw promising young scientists to biomedical research careers.
