Talk Overview
This lecture covers the lenses of the microscope and how they are used to focus light onto a specimen and how light from the specimen is focused onto a camera or the retina of an eye. Koehler illumination, which provides even illumination of a sample, is described.
Questions
- List three planes in the microscope that are conjugate to image forming planes.
- List three planes in the microscope that are conjugate to the illumination (light source) plane

Thank you very much for this lecture! It helped me a lot!
I have a question:
In Q1, should not field diaphragm (iris) of the condenser be an image conjugate plane if the illumination is critical and not Koehler illumination?
Thanks!
