Kishore Hari is the Director of the Bay Area Science Festival at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Hari joined UCSF in November 2009 as part of the science education outreach organization, Science and Health Education Partnership (SEP). Hari is dedicated to engaging the public in science through interactive and informal settings. Before joining UCSF, he founded the San Francisco-based science cafe events called Down to a Science. He also started BayAreaScience.org, an online portal of science-related events in the Bay Area. Hari has an educational and professional background in science. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and subsequently co-founded the environmental services company Superior Adsorbents Inc.
