Dr. Todd Eckdahl is a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Biology at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eckdahl, who was the first person in his family to get a college degree, received his PhD from Purdue University where he found his passion for science education. He currently teaches majors and non-major undergraduates, and has a lab where students can get research experience.
